Provides loan repayment assistance for eligible teachers with outstanding federal student loans who teach in geographic or subject shortage areas. Recipients may receive up to $6,000 per year for a maximum of three years. Eligibility: Must be an Arkansas resident for at least 12 months prior to application deadline; U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; graduated from a teacher education program after April 2004; hold a valid Arkansas teacher's license; teach full-time in a public school district in Arkansas during the award year; and teach in a subject area with a critical shortage OR in a geographic area with a critical shortage.
