Next NC Scholarship
CFNC
Combines the federal Pell Grant with state-funded financial aid to provide a simplified, predictable scholarship award for North Carolinians. Students enrolling at UNC institutions with AGI ≤ $80,000 and SAI ≤ 7,500 are guaranteed at least $5,000; students at NC Community Colleges with the same criteria are guaranteed at least $3,000. Eligibility: Must be a North Carolina resident; enrolled for at least 6 credit hours as an undergraduate in matriculated status (degree, certificate, or diploma program); no previous bachelor's degree; subject to semester limits (6 full-time semesters for two-year programs, 10 for four-year programs); Title IV eligible. Priority FAFSA deadlines: June 1 for UNC institutions and August 15 for NC Community Colleges.
