Arkansas Division of Higher Education / Graduate Medical Education Residency Expansion Board
One-time grants to support start-up costs related to increasing the number of graduate medical education (GME) positions throughout Arkansas. Awarded to entities creating new or expanding existing GME programs. Eligibility: Must be an Arkansas-based medical facility/hospital in the process of creating a new GME program or expanding an existing one. Requires detailed letter of intent, timeline, budget with financial sustainability plan, proposed program details, letters of support from sponsoring institution and clinical sites, commitment letters from Board of Directors/senior leadership/medical staff, and documentation of intent to submit application to ACGME.
