Boxx-Barr Bursary

The Boxx-Barr Bursary Fund is a program of the Dogwood Monarchist Society founded by Emperor Scotty B. Boxx and Emprex Karmella Barr, offering bursaries to support the educational pursuits of 2SLGBTQIA+ community members in British Columbia while emphasizing Indigenous, Black, Women and Gender-Diverse communities. In 2026 it offers four options: a $2,000 Future Leaders Bursary for students active in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and supporting fundraising efforts for non-profits; a $1,000 Rainbow Pathways Bursary for students involved in community programs such as drag performers, queer sports teams or other community groups; a $1,000 Two-Spirit Resilience Bursary for students who identify as Two Spirit, First Nations or Metis and are active in community fundraising or activism; and a $1,000 POC Excellence Bursary for students who identify as a person of colour and an active member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
