Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants
Award: $2,000
To support a private Arizona university students majoring in accounting. Qualifications: Applicants must be a high school and college students. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic achievement (as documented through GPA and success in accounting or accounting-related courses), likelihood of becoming a CPA and remaining in Arizona, and community involvement and leadership potential (as demonstrated by the student's personal statement and letter of recommendation). How to apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form along with the college/university transcripts for all schools attended; resume (includes work experience and information such as extra-curricular activities, public service activities, awards and honors); a one-page essay on future career interests and professional goals (include 2-year and 5-year goals); letter of recommendation from an instructor or employer. Focus: Accounting.
