To support diverse law students committed to a career in public interest and social justice. Qualifications: Candidates must be recent or soon-to-be law school graduates; be first-time test takers sitting for the California Bar Exam; be committed to practicing law in California upon passing the bar; demonstrate a clear commitment to building a better justice system; demonstrate financial need; maintain at least a 2.2 GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 scale, or provide an explanation of extenuating circumstances if the GPA is lower than 2.2. How to apply: Applicants must submit one signed letter of recommendation supporting Candidate’s commitment to building a better justice system, or related area of interest; candidate’s actual or anticipated graduation date; good ethical standing of Candidate while attending law school; candidate’s financial need.
