Ken and Dean Kirn Scholarship
Community Foundation for Southwest Washington
Award: $3,000–$5,000
To provide scholarships to SW Washington students pursuing vocational or trades schooling. Qualifications: Applicant must be a resident of Southwest Washington; must be pursuing technical, vocational, or career degrees, with particular emphasis on degrees at local southwest Washington and Portland metropolitan community colleges. Also open to the following students: Dependents of employees of Columbia Cascade Company, or Graduates of the Inpatient or Outpatient Programs at Daybreak Youth Services, or Graduate residents of the Open House Ministries Family shelter or resident's child. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the preference given to applicants with significant financial need. How to apply: Applications must be completed online and submitted along with all required documents. Focus: Construction; Education, Vocational-technical; Heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration; Welding.
