To support the education of journalism students. Qualifications: Applicants must be either transfer or continuing journalism students. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the credentials of the applicants and of the applications required. How to apply: Applicants must submit the following in one application packet: a cover sheet/form; transcript (may be unofficial); letter of recommendation from the applicants' adviser; a maximum of one page personal statement explaining what the applicants have gained from their journalistic experience, their hopes for a future in journalism, and any special circumstances regarding their background or status; a list of journalism-related experiences other than their community college work (dates and brief descriptions of volunteer or paid work): a list of non-journalism activities and involvements (dates and brief descriptions).
