Master's Degree with a Major in Nursing Academic Scholarships

To provide scholarship assistance to nursing students who want to pursue their Master's degree. Qualifications: Applicant must be a current NAON member; must hold current licensure as a registered nurse; must currently spend at least 50% of time devoted to the specialty of orthopedic nursing; must be currently enrolled full- or part-time in a nationally accredited Master's degree program in nursing. Selection criteria: Awards are given based on the application materials. How to apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form available online together with proof of current licensure as a registered nurse, NAON membership, and college master's enrollment status; must provide a statement of chosen NAON contribution, signed scholarship agreement form, and narrative of 500 words or less, doubled-spaced, one inch margins in 12 point font addressing the applicant's professional goals (as they pertain to the academic activity and orthopedic nursing) and the impact of a nursing education on the applicant's career in orthopedic nursing; must submit two letters of recommendation, one must be from an orthopedic health care professional; one digital photo (head or head-shoulder shot in professional attire); and one self-addressed (stamped postcard for acknowledging receipt of application if submitted by mail).
