Future Leader Initial NCTM Annual Meeting Attendance Awards

Award: $1,500
To provide financial assistance to first-time attendees at an NCTM annual meeting and exposition. Qualifications: Applicants must be full-time classroom teacher; secondary school teachers(6 th-12th) must be teaching mathematics for at least 50 percent of their schedule; earned at least a bachelor's degree; teaching at the time of the application and anticipate teaching during the following school year; has never attended an NCTM annual meeting. Selection criteria: Selection will be special consideration will be given to teachers of underserved and rural students. How to apply: Applicants must be submit a proposal cover form; a proposal describing plan and lesson plan (two pages maximum); budget (two pages maximum; table format); letter of support from principal; Background and Experience; Letter of Support from Principal. Focus: Mathematics and mathematical sciences; Teaching.
