To support youth adopted through foster care in pursuing higher education. Qualifications: Applicants must have a parent or another supportive adult who is a member of the NFPA; must be in their senior year of high school regardless of age; must be at least 17 and no more than 21 years of age. Selection criteria: Applicants are selected based on the academic performance. How to apply: Applicant must submit application form; also includes: copy of high school transcript; minimum of two letters of recommendation from foster parents, social workers, residential center, principal/teacher/guidance counselor, or employer; Essay in 300-500 words on the topic, "How my foster care experience has impacted my future educational goals. Focus: General studies/Field of study not specified.
