To support the education of a student active in Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting, or Venturing. Qualifications: Applicants must demonstrate financial need; be a registered, active member of a boy scout troop, varsity scout team, or venturing crew; have received the eagle scout award; be an active member of a synagogue and possess the ner tamid or etz chaim religious emblem; have demonstrated practical citizenship in applicants synagogue, school, scouting unit, and community; be enrolled in an accredited high school and in applicants final year at the time of selection; exception: scouts whose eagle scout boards of review are held the same year of their high school graduation may apply in that calendar year. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; should include one signed recommendation letter from a volunteer or professional Scout leader (please list Scouting title on the letter) who knows the applicant personally; provide one signed recommendation letter from the Scout's Rabbi or similar faith leader.
