Award: $1,000

To help defray the cost of food service education for students; to provide means of recognition for the school food service department. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must attach a letter of recommendation from the NYSNA member who submitted their name for the award; must attach a 200 word essay on how/why they chose food service as their future career; must attach a letter of recommendation from a school official, guidance counselor, principal etc.; must attach a copy of letter of acceptance from college; must submit a copy of high school transcript, including first semester of the senior year; must attach any additional comments or information that will be helpful. Focus: Food service careers.
