Qualifications: Applicants must be a public sector member of NYGFOA in good standing; if not a member of NYGFOA; must be an employee of a government which has a NYGFOA member in good standing; must be currently enrolled or accepted into an associates, bachelor's or master's degree program in accounting/governmental accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or public administration/affairs; college or university must be located in New York State; must be a citizen or permanent resident of the united states; must not be a past winner of an academic scholarship program administered by NYGFOA. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; copy of applicants most recent transcript; a copy of applicants undergraduate grade transcript, if enrolled in a graduate program; a list of courses currently enrolled in and current grades if possible; use page 2 of the application; letters of recommendation from applicants academic advisor, dean and/or professors of applicants degree program; Letters of recommendation from applicants current employer; proof of enrollment. (A copy of applicants acceptance letter, paid tuition receipt, etc.); a personal statement (not to exceed two pages, typed, double spaced) describing applicants studies and work experience and how they apply to applicants current and/or future career plans; a copy of applicants current resume.
