To recognize scholastic achievement, participation in cross-country skiing, and community service; provided educational expenses at an accredited college or university to Alaskan residents who are graduating high school seniors. Qualifications: Applicants must submit online application form; should include text of the paper, double-spaced, in 12-point font, with 1-inch margins, using end notes, not footnotes, in MS Word or PDF format; include the timing for each audio/video example with the callouts in the body of the paper; include visual materials (PowerPoint, images, etc.) in PDF format; include audio files in MP3, WAV, or M4A format; include video files in MP4 or MOV format; include papers presented as part of an AMS study group/committee-sponsored session; must include either documented proof of student status or contact information for an authorized person who can affirm the nominee’s student status. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; should include essay (500-word maximum) on the benefits applicants have received from skiing; two (2) letters of recommendation from 1) a teacher or counselor and 2) a ski coach.
