To support Watauga County residents pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduate of a high school in Watauga County, NC, or a Watauga County resident graduating from a North Carolina School of Science and Math or the North Carolina School of the Arts or any other school for academically gifted students; must exhibit excellence in academics, physical vigor and activity, and leadership in school, church, and/or community activities. Selection criteria: Recipients will be selected based on academic merit; financial need; intended major or field of study; completion of required application materials.
