To assist high school students in pursuing postsecondary education, especially those with family ties to the former Red Oak High School. Qualifications: Applicants must be high school graduates wishing to pursue their education at an institution of higher learning such as a college, university, or community college; must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.63; must demonstrate academic promise, involvement and leadership in extracurricular activities in high school, community, and church, along with high moral character and good citizenship. Selection criteria: Special consideration is given to applicants with immediate family members who attended, taught at, or were employed at the former Red Oak High School of Nash County, NC. How to apply: Application must be submitted through the NCCF Online Portal. Applicant must create an account and then follow all instructions for applying for scholarship.
