To support OSUIT and OSU HTM Students. Qualifications: Applicants must provide proof that they are: currently enrolled in a post secondary culinary/hospitality program at OSUIT or OSU HTM; must have performed a minimum of 250 hours of related work experience in the hospitality field; must obtain and submit two letters of recommendation - one from a faculty member and another from a hospitality industry employer; must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online nomination form; submit a 500 word essay; explain applicants reason(s) for applying for a scholarship and why applicants feel applicants should receive one, the type of career in the hospitality industry applicants plan to pursue and applicants future goals; copies of paycheck stubs or letter(s) from employer(s) indicating that applicant has completed a minimum of 250 hours of hospitality-related work; a copy of applicants current college or high school transcript; two letters of recommendation - one from a faculty member and another from an industry employer. Focus: Culinary arts; Food service careers; Hotel, institutional, and restaurant management.
