To offer various scholarships to support educational pursuits in the Parkersburg, West Virginia area. Qualifications: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors at DCHS who plan to attend a college, university, trade/technical schools, or certification program; recipients must have a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 2.0; must be residents in the Foundation's service area: Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood Counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Ohio. Selection criteria: Selection based on committee criteria following: academics, activities/leadership, service, financial need, special circumstances; character, ability to overcome obstacles, academic promise, and/or community involvement.
