To support local students pursuing degrees in healthcare or public safety fields. Qualifications: Applicants must be Post-secondary of 2 years; have GPA: 2.5 minimum; must attend college plans: nursing, EMT, paramedic, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, chiropractor, dentist, medical doctor, or public safety (firefighter, police officer, or homeland security, etc.); preference given to Military service or ROTC; must have completed 2 years of post-secondary study; be high school seniors and current college students; must be residents in the foundation's service area: Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood Counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Ohio. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; consider the following: academics, activities/leadership, service, financial need; special circumstances. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form. Focus: Dentistry; Fires and fire prevention; Law enforcement; Medicine; Nursing; Physical therapy.
