To promote the study of family and consumer sciences. Qualifications: Applicants must be a Phi Upsilon Omicron member; have doctoral students in family and consumer sciences or a related area. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the applicants' scholastic record; honors and recognitions; participation in honor society, professional, community, and other organizations; scholarly work; statement of professional goals; and recommendations. Preference will be given to students who desire to teach at the college/university level. How to apply: Applicants must be submit at least one recommendation must be from the student's major advisor. Focus: Consumer affairs; Family planning.
