Ken Kashiwahara Scholarships

To provide financial assistance to students who have demonstrated their interest in the field of radio and television news. Qualifications: Applicant must be an officially enrolled college sophomore and have at least one full academic year; must be fully enrolled college sophomore or higher to receive a scholarship; must be enrolled in any major involved in electronic journalism. Selection criteria: Selection is based on the submitted application materials and financial need. How to apply: Applicant must submit a completed application form available on the website accompanied by the following materials: (1) copy of resume, (2) one to three examples of their journalistic skills on audio CD or DVD, with scripts, (3) one page statement, with specific career preferences (radio, TC, online, reporting, producing, or newsroom management), and (4) letter of reference from dean or faculty. Focus: Radio and television.
