To assist employee's children who plan to continue their education in college. Qualifications: Applicants must be dependent children of active Raytheon Company employees who have a minimum of one year of full-time employment with the company as of the application deadline date; children of part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week are also eligible; dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee's household or primarily supported by the employee; college or postsecondary students who have completed at least one full quarter or semester and who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the academic year; under the age of 24 as of the application deadline date; applicants may receive only one Raytheon scholarship in any academic year; applicant has received another scholarship from Raytheon in the same academic year, they will not be eligible for Raytheon Scholars, and vice versa. Selection criteria: Recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, and unusual personal or family circumstances.
