To assist college students in subsidizing experiences intended to broaden their perspective and enhance personal growth. Qualifications: Applications must be an college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students who are legal residents of Rhode Island. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on clarity and thoughtfulness of application, creativity and motivation of proposed project, evidence of self-direction and initiative, and financial need. How to apply: Applicants must submit a completed online application form, official college transcript, resume, copy of financial aid award letter; two letters of recommendation from faculty, employers or other professional persons who understand why the proposed experience is appropriate for applicants; description of enrichment experience, including plans, preparation, amount requested and how funds will be used, breakdown of itemized expenses, and how this experience will further applicants goals; supporting documentation concerning the proposed experience (optional).
