To support young ALEC members pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicant must be a member of Abbott Laboratories Employees Credit Union (ALEC) and be between the ages of 17 and 24 at the time of application; must be graduating high school seniors planning to enroll or previous graduates already enrolled at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Previous recipients may reapply. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academics, work experience, participation and leadership in school and community activities, unusual personal or family circumstances, submitted statement of education and career goals, and the online recommendation. How to apply: Applicant must complete the online application and submit current transcripts. Applicant must have an online recommendation submitted on their behalf.
