To provide scholarships to students who have completed internships with CITGO. Qualifications: Applicant must be a current or past participant in a CITGO internship and/or co-op program at one of the following locations: Corpus Christi, TX; Houston, TX; Lemont, IL; or Lake Charles, LA; must be in good standing with CITGO human resources (current or completed internship/co-op program); must be enrolled or plan to enroll at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or graduate study for the upcoming academic year; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; must be willing to consider a career in the energy industry. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic performance; leadership and participation in school, volunteer, and community activities; work experience; statement on how internship/co-op, coursework, or extracurricular activities will contribute to career goals after college or university; statement of financial need and/or unusual personal or family circumstances (if applicable).
