To support students pursuing STEM degrees and showing an interest in the energy field. Qualifications: Applicant must be a current graduating senior from one of the following high schools: Alief Early College High School, Foy H. Moody High School, and West Oso High School in Texas; Lemont High School in Illinois; or Sulphur High School in Louisiana. Applicant must be planning to enroll at an accredited two or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year, with a declared STEM major in the fields of accounting or finance, chemistry, computer science and information technology, engineering, environmental studies, industrial instrumentation, occupational safety and health, process technology, and supply chain management; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; must be willing to consider a career in the energy field. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic performance, participation and/or leadership in school, volunteer, and community activities; work experience; statement of educational and career goals and objectives; statement of financial need and/or unusual personal or family circumstances (if applicable); and online recommendation. How to apply: Applicant must complete the online application and submit current transcripts. Applicant must have an online recommendation submitted on their behalf.
