To support members and their dependents for study at accredited institutions of higher education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a SAG-AFTRA member or dependent of a member (under 27 years old); must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning; Applicants under 22 applying for scholarship must have been a member in a good standing for five years and have a lifetime earnings of $40,000 within SAG-AFTRA jurisdiction; a member parent or guardian whose dependent is applying for the scholarship must have 10 years of vested pension credits or a lifetime $225,000 within the SAG-AFTRA jurisdiction. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit a transcript of all high school, college and university course and evaluations, SAT scores, and any other relevant information; applicants shall submit the Confidential Financial Aid Form for applicants and a copy of their most recent Federal Income Tax Returns for applicants and parent; if either applicants or parents are incorporated, the Corporate Tax Return must be submitted. All submitted tax returns must be complete; applicants shall submit an essay of 350 to 750 words on one of the topics provided with the application and two personal letters of recommendation.
