To provide children or grandchildren of Seabees who were wounded in action and received a Purple Heart. Qualifications: Applicants must be active duty, reserve, retired and honorably discharged Seabee children and grandchildren are eligible; eligible sponsors are enlisted personnel with a Seabee rating, CEC officers, or others who have served or are serving in a Naval Construction Force Unit; can be four-year, two-year or CTE depending on the student's field of study. Selection criteria: Selections are made on the basis of leadership, good citizenship, character, financial need, and scholastic record. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; student Aid Report showing Expected Family Contribution amount from Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); summary of Extracurricular Activities and Awards; summary of applicant employment history; official transcript with unweighted GPA; letter of recommendation; essay.
