To support Oceana High School graduating seniors who have overcome obstacles or demonstrated concern for others and are now pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a graduating high school senior at Oceana High School; student planning to enroll in community college, four-year university, or vocational school on a part- or full-time basis; must have overcome academic or personal difficulties or has shown unusual concern for those less fortunate; student shows potential, willingness and promise for future success in college. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include letters can be up to 800 words in length; the body of the letter should include: letter-writer’s relationship to the applicant; length of time they have known the individual; why they recommend the applicant for this particular scholarship; why they believe the applicant will be successful in their academic goals; any additional information about the applicant that should be considered.
