To recognize innovative works that expand the discipline of film and media studies, emphasizing its relationship to other visual fields, including architect, art history and digital media. Qualifications: Applicants must be published between August 1, before one year and July 31, current year; first books are eligible; no submitted work may compete for more than one SCMS award. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria.
