To encourage SPU members to develop innovative and impact-creating research proposals in order to obtain more sustainable outside funding. Qualifications: Applicants must be a pediatric urological clinicians in practice or clinicians and researchers serving within divisions or departments of pediatric urology; must be members of the SPU or have member sponsorship; pediatric urological research at the junior/mid-level faculty/attending level (MD, MD/PhD, or PhD). Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee will review and score the proposal based on the following How to apply: Applicants must submit application form; research plan to include: specific aims, significance and innovation, preliminary studies, approach: study design and methods, references, personal statement, appendix, NIH biosketch; letter from chair of urology confirming institutional support and the following: percent of time that is protected and dedicated to research, when does applicants protected research time end, percent of time that will be dedicated to this proposed project; budget; justification; other support.
