To recognize the best-researched and most well presented abstracts. Qualifications: Applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code and defined as “not a private foundation” under section 509(a) of the Code; while projects may take place outside the U.S., only organizations based in the United States are eligible; open to all qualifying SSR Trainee Members, regardless of country of origin. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; must submit all materials, including independent expert reviews and letters of reference/sponsorship, through the online application; all letters should include the NIH Biographical Sketch of the person writing the letter; independent expert reviews (2); reference; letter from the proposed sponsor/mentor.
