To assist students who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to the hospitality (restaurant, foodservice, lodging, tourism) industry. Qualifications: Applicants must be currently employed in the hospitality industry and/or enrolled and major in culinary arts, baking, and pastry, hospitality & tourism, or a related field of study at an accredited institution; must be used toward the pursuit of an undergraduate or master’s degree at an accredited post-secondary institution. Students that are not enrolled for the fall semester of 2024 and spring semester of 2025 are not eligible; recipients must be classified as full-time students in order for any funds to be disbursed to the educational institution. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on judges will on the following: presentation of application (spelling, punctuation, etc.); industry-related work experience; grade point average; essay (well written and within word count); proStart/LMP enrollment. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; current transcript, essay (500-word minimum, 1000-word maximum); an essay explaining the following: your reason(s) for applying for a scholarship and why you feel you should receive one, the type of career in the foodservice or hospitality industry you plan to pursue, and your future goals. Focus: Culinary arts.
