To provide financial assistance and career counseling for students to become faculty members. Qualifications: Applicant must have completed all course work and comprehensive/ preliminary exams and have defended (or will defend) the dissertation prospectus successfully before the academic year begins; enrolled in or have applied to a participating institution in a participating state listed on the Participating States and Institutions web page. How to apply: Applicants must submit online; letters of interest or personal statements should be no more than two pages, single-spaced with 12-point font; acceptable documents include a signed letter from the registrar’s office stating that the applicant is a resident, or an email from a registrar manager or representative declaring residency; financial aid statements, W-9s, check stubs, driver’s licenses, and similar documents are not acceptable.
