To support outstanding students enrolled in sports administration programs, with an emphasis on facility and/or event management; to provide tuition assistance to a graduate/undergraduate student majoring in subjects that will prepare them for a career in the Facility Management or an industry related field. Qualifications: Applicants must have completed a minimum of 2 years of study or be classified as a junior; full time status for the entire scholarship year; actively engaged in community service; stadium related work experience. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; gpa: 20 percentage; financial need: 10 percentage; educational & career goals: 20 percentage; school & activities: 15 percentage; references: 10 percentage; community activities: 15 percentage; industry activities: 10percentage. How to apply: Applicants must submit a copy of their official college transcript, including the most recent semester; an essay titled 'why are their applying for this scholarship', which must include their future goals (min: 250 words, max: 500 words); submit a resume; submit three letters of reference, with at least one from an instructor/advisor and one from someone outside the academic environment, preferably industry-specific. Focus: Hotel, institutional, and restaurant management; Sports studies.
