To encourage graduate students to pursue careers in the electronics industry, by developing closer ties between student research and the needs of the electronics manufacturing industry. Qualifications: Applicants must be a full-time graduate-level student actively pursuing a degree; working on thesis research in electronics assembly, electronics packaging, or a related field; a current student member of the SMTA; become a student member now for just $20!; attending a school in North America with anticipated graduation date of April Current year or later. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria evaluate: significance of work, research project objectives and methodology, qualifications of applicant.
