To support active TCDA student members in their continuing education. Qualifications: Applicants must join TCDA as a Student Member in order to apply for a scholarship; in addition, the applicant must be enrolled in a Texas college or university as an undergraduate choral music education or church music major, have 45+ credit hours, be currently enrolled in their 4th or more semester of study and have a 3.0 or higher GPA; qualified applicants are considered without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status. Selection criteria: Selection shall be based on the aforementioned qualifications and compliance with the application details. How to apply: Applicants must be submit a letter of application (typed or printed) that describes applicants qualifications; lists any honors, activities, or achievements; and describes applicants professional goals and aspirations including current or future employment; two to three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a current TCDA member, and one of which must be from a recommender employed by the college or university that the scholarship applicant attends; recommenders should submit via the TCDA scholarship recommendation form; a copy of applicants current transcript (undergraduate).
