To grant scholarships to deserving Merrimack Valley, higher education-bound, Italian-American students. Qualifications: Candidate should be a graduating senior of a greater Merrimack Valley area high school; the candidate should be of high moral character and ranked within the top 25% of his/her class; the candidate should be involved in extra-curricular activities; the candidate should be accepted for attendance at a four-year college for the next school year, or actively applying; the candidate must be of Italian descent; no member of the candidate's family (parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, first cousin) may be a member of the Merrimack Valley chapter of UNICO; the candidate shall explain their financial needs. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit the online application form; include: the high school transcript; SAT or ACT score print out; a letter or letters of recommendation, from a person or persons of the applicant's choosing.
