To support a local student pursuing a college degree. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduate of a Union County, Arkansas, high school and/or West Side Christian School of El Dorado; must be planning to pursue postsecondary education; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic merit, character, and financial need. How to apply: Application must be completed through the online portal. Applicant must submit cumulative high school or college transcript through the most recent term which must include either ACT or SAT scores; two letters of recommendation, one from a school official and one from an adult other than a family member; a single page typewritten essay on a challenging time the applicant faced and how they dealt with that challenge. Focus: General studies/Field of study not specified.
