To support a local student pursuing postsecondary education in engineering. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in El Dorado, AR, or another Union County Arkansas school; must demonstrate promise and interest in the field of engineering and plan to pursue engineering in college; must be in the top third of their graduating class. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic merit, character, and financial need. How to apply: Application must be completed through the online portal. Applicant must submit cumulative high school or college transcript through the most recent term which must include either ACT or SAT scores; two letters of recommendation, one from a school official and one from an adult other than a family member; a single page typewritten essay relating the student’s career goals in engineering. Focus: Engineering.
