To provide scholarships to the dependents of Union County police officers. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Union County, Arkansas, high school and a resident of Union County; must be the biological child, stepchild, legally adopted child of an active, sworn police officers employed by a Department in Union County. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic merit, character, and financial need. How to apply: Application must be completed through the online portal. Applicant must submit cumulative high school transcript through the most recent term which must include either ACT or SAT scores; two letters of recommendation, one from a school official and one from an adult other than a family member; a single page typewritten essay on the importance of school and community involvement.
