To provide financial assistance to graduate students pursuing a degree in atmospheric and oceanic-related sciences. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic records; statement of career interests and goals; compatibility of the applicant's background with the interests of NOAA. How to apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; essay on, "How Your Course of Study will Benefit or Complement NOAA's Mission"; statement of the applicant's academic and career goals; letter of acceptance to an accredited graduate school/university; official college transcripts; three references from individuals who know the student in a professional capacity; list of current and planned courses.
