To provide financial support to deserving students in Alaska who want to pursue an education in any campus of the University of Alaska. Qualifications: Applicants must be of Gwich in Athabaskan descents; be full-time students attending any UA campus (whether at Fairbanks, at Anchorage, or at Southeast); have a minimum 2.5 GPA; and, enroll for at least six credit hours. Selection criteria: Preference will be given to students from Arctic Village or Venetie and students from Ft. Yukon, Chalkyitsik, Birch Creek, Circle, Beaver or Eagle. How to apply: Applicants must complete the application forms available at the website; must attach a personal essay, two letters of recommendation, and current transcripts. Focus: General studies/Field of study not specified.
