To support students or researchers for their activities in all disciplines as related to academic exchange, research training, and scholarly development in areas of interest to UC MEXUS. Selection criteria: Selection will be reviewed by an internal committee and award decisions made by the director of UC MEXUS; in addition to such standard review criteria as clarity, quality, and feasibility of the proposal, UC MEXUS will assign importance to the significant of the proposed activities for the students' academic advancement and training quality from the UC or Mexican faculty and researchers; reviews are based on the proposed project or activity only and the thematic fit UC MEXUS goals, independent of the nationality of the applicants. How to apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form, available at the website, and must include the following required attachments a project plan; a detailed budget; curriculum vitae; for projects that will take place in Mexico, a copy of the letter of invitation from a Mexican faculty member or researcher; a signature of the students' UC faculty sponsor is required and academic standing in a graduate program or postdoctoral position must be certified by the chair of the applicants' department. Focus: Latin American studies.
