Selection criteria: First priority will be given to young investigators at the University of Michigan embarking on a research career, with the hope that the Pilot and Feasibility Project will lead to the successful funding of an R01 type or career development application; senior investigators will be considered only if the project represents a new direction in their research, and will be given lower priority.
