To promote the study of American military history. Qualifications: Must have completed all the requirements for a Ph.D. at University of Tennessee, except for dissertation; must be a student in good standing and making sufficient progress toward the completion of the degree. Selection criteria: Selection preference is given to those who focus on some aspect of the Second World War. How to apply: Applicants must submit a letter of application no longer than two pages that outlines your dissertation topic and your progress toward degree; two letters of recommendation outlining your progress to the degree; at least one letter must be from a faculty member in the History Department of the University of Tennessee.
