To recognize female law students who have dedicated themselves in a significant way to advancing the quality of life and stature of women in society through community service or otherwise. Qualifications: Open to current 1L and 2L female law students enrolled in a part-time or full-time legal programs at qualifying institutions; applicants must be enrolled at one of the four Missouri law schools (Washington University, Saint Louis University, the University of Missouri in Columbia or the University of Missouri-Kansas City) or Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale; must member of the WLA. Selection criteria: Selection committee will consider the following to make its decision: demonstrated commitment to causes that are consistent with the mission of the WLA; academic record; demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities; academic and professional honors; work experience; and statement of goals and aspirations.
