The Jerry Dominguez Scholarship fund was created to invest in our future business leaders and entrepreneurs. This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors pursuing a business career at a 4-year college/university or accredited vocational school. Each year, Business Consumer Alliance (BCA) will award five recipients a scholarship with an award amount of $10,000 each. Must be a high school senior residing in the following southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Qualifications: * High school seniors pursuing higher education at a 4-year institution or vocational school. * 3.8 GPA minimum. * High school transcripts required. * Letter of recommendation (from someone not related to the applicant). * Supply a 250-500 word essay on a prompt. A prompt will be provided once the application has been received from this form. * Open only to residents in the following southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. * Immediate family members of BCA Board members and employees are not eligible. Selection criteria: Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements of the scholarship to qualify and be considered. All sections of the application must be completed to be considered. Incomplete applications or applications missing required documents will not be considered. Any essay created partially or entirely with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology will be disqualified. Essay submitted must be the original work of the applicant. Any plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification. Late applications will not be considered. Applications must be received by their respective deadlines. All finalists will be reviewed by a Scholarship Committee to determine scholarship recipients. If needed, applicants may need to be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee. Finalists must provide a photo of themselves and proof of enrollment in order to be considered. A photo of the winners, along with their essays, may be posted to Business Consumer Alliance's (BCA) website and social media channels. BCA is not held responsible for any local, state, or federal taxes. By filling out the application and submitting the essay for the scholarship, the applicant acknowledges their acceptance and understanding of these terms.
