To provide financial assistance to qualified individuals.   Qualifications: Applicants must: live in Nebraska and meet in-state residency requirements; graduate from a Nebraska high school or earn a Nebraska GED; achieve a 2.0 cumulative unweighted GPA in high school; be a first-time freshman when entering college; plan to attend a Nebraska public institution; be in need of financial assistance (Student Aid Index below 10,000).   Selection criteria: Selection based on financial need; short answers; recommendation.
